Claire Dyer, poet and novelist, is a regular guest on BBC Radio Berkshire’s Radio, 'Reads' with Bill Buckley.
Her recents events include: South Downs Poetry Festival, Writing for Page, Stage & Screen Retreat, The Curve, Slough, and Coffee House Poetry at The Troubadour. She was commissioned to write a poem for Nature Nurture for The Woodland Trust: and was part of the 'High Wire Act' at last year's Poetry in Aldeburgh festival (reviewed as... 'excellent!' by Daphne Astor, Poetry in Aldeburgh 2016 and Berkshire's poet for last year's 'National Poetry Day').
Claire Dyer's poetry collections include .'Eleven Rooms' and 'Interference Effects'. Her novels include 'The Moment' and 'The Perfect Affair'', plus a forthcoming novel, 'The Last Day'. She's published short stories including 'Falling for Gatsby'. Claire was part of the team running Reading's Poets' Cafe on behalf of the 'Poetry Society's Reading Stanza' and she teaches creative writing at literary and writers’ festivals and for Bracknell & Wokingham College
Claire Booker is a Brighton-based award winning poet and playwright. Recently, she was feature poet at 'Beyond Words', Gipsy Hill, London, and at 'Loose Muse', Covent Garden. She performed solo and with other members of 'PoetryArtExchange' in poetry/music jam sessions at 'The Hundred Years Gallery', Hoxton, 'the Bird's Nest Gallery', Deptford and the 'Centrala Gallery', Birmingham.
She also performed at Brighton Museum’s 'Constable Exhibition' by invitation of the Frogmore Press, and at 'The Hive', Dalston at the invitation of the Palewell Press . In April she performed as a contributor at a 'Paper Swans Anthology' launch as well as Tunbridge Wells and 'the London Review Bookshop', London, for the launch of 'Magma 67'.
She authored 'Later There Will Be Postcards' and was recently commended in the Poetry Society's 'Anne Born Prize. Her poems have appeared in Ambit, Magma, the Morning Star, North, Rialto and the Spectator as well as in 'Dream Catcher', an intn'l Arts Journal.
She's a member of 'PoetryArtExchange', a UK/Romanian collaborative group of poets and artists. Her poem 'Refuge' was recently set to music by classical composer Nicola Burnett Smith and performed at the Actor's Church, Covent Garden. Claire was nominated for a 'MacAllan Writer’s Guild of Great Britain' award for her play 'The Devil and Stepashka' which broadcast on BBC Radio Four. Her stage plays have been performed in Europe, Australia, America and the UK. Some have been translated into French,Spanish and Russian. She twice won the 'Douglas Clarke Award' and the 'Leicester Playwriting Competition'.
