Write to Speak is back.
Yorkshire's first theatre based spoken word night will be returning to the studio space at Hull Truck theatre on Wednesday 16th September. Featuring Hull's very own Scarlet Lights on the back of their hugely successful Edinburgh Fringe run with their show 'Retail is Detail', and Radio 4s Kate Fox with her witty topical poems.
Edgy, dynamic and sometimes shocking, Write to Speak will challenge and entertain - leave your preconceptions at the door.
Scarlet Lights - Are a Hull based theatre company. They have performed at the Edinburgh Fringe festival for the past two years and are set to become a major force on the UK comedy scene. 'Retail is Detail' is their new show and traces the antics of the different characters in a local supermarket, a farcical look at the perils of life on the shop floor.

Kate Fox - Kate Fox is a stand-up comedian, poet and journalist. She has been a Poet in Residence on R4’s Saturday Live for a year, writing topical poems and performing them for 2 million listeners once a month. She has performed stand up comedy and poetry gigs all over the world.
