Open Mic Event

Quickfire open-mic poetry hosted on the second Monday of each month by Steve Regan and Dave Costello.
All poets get 4-minute slots - and they will often get to read twice during the course of each evening. Start time is 8pm. Admission is free.
So at the Bards, effectively, EVERYONE IS A GUEST POET.
Usually there are a couple of slots for singer-songwriters too, but this is primarily a poetry venue.
The Bards is ALWAYS lively and friendly.
Humorous, philosophical and spiritual material is particularly welcomed - but basically, anything goes!
The atmosphere at The Bards is best summed up by the phrase 'Magic Realism' ... or perhaps the word 'Karnivale'.
