Dreading Slam is a friendly, open mic poetry competition, we welcome poets of all standards, as well as any audience who want the chance to appreciate live poetry. The reason for having a competition, as this encourages the poet to perform work which connects with the audience.
Each poets reads 2 of their own poems (max 3 minutes) these are scored out of ten by three members of the audience who have volunteered to be judges. Top three poets qualify for a final, to find the best poet in Berkshire (for few weeks).
Dreading Slam meets on the First Sunday of each month at 19:30.in the Rising Sun Arts Centre, 30 Silver St Reading, RG1 2ST
