Write Out Loud Woking meets almost always on the last Thursday of each month. Five-minute open-mic slots available, including a few for out-of-towners. We're always keen to welcome new faces. We welcome Stephen Claughton as our featured poet at Write Out Loud Woking on Zoom on Thursday 27 May. Originally from Manchester, Stephen worked for many years in the Civil Service and started writing seriously only after his retirement a decade ago. He will be reading poems from his two pamphlets, The War with Hannibal (Poetry Salzburg, 2019) and The 3-D Clock (Dempsey & Windle, 2020). Stephen is a member of Ver Poets and reviews regularly for London Grip. He is currently the Mayor of Berkhamsted.
