A monthly open mic, poetry & spoken word open mic event with a little music and a featured poet. New and used Spokers of Words always very welcome. And we especially love audiences too!

This month, Mel Wardle Woodend and Jonathon Watkiss headline. Mel was Staffordshire Poet Laureate 2019-2022. Together they run WORD Stafford.
They will be highlighting their new anthology ‘The First Retort’, a compendium of poetry from slam winners, special guests and supporters from the first three seasons of WORD Stafford: a regular spoken word event, now held as a hybrid in person Zoom event.
This anthology is published by Dream Well Writing, a dyslexia friendly publisher founded by Mel.
