Scribblers ahoy!
I've booked the drawing room (back room) on the first floor of The Eagle and Child, High Petergate, York, for next month's writers and songwriters workshop on Sunday, 3rd November, 5.30 to 8.30 in the evening.
No guest writer or publisher has been invited to give a presentation. The workshop will be dedicated entirely to your work, so please bring along anything literary (or a song/lyric) of your making that you want to share or want a second opinion on or help with. Please try to bring 3 or 4 paper copies of your work, not to exceed 2,000 words or 4 sides of A4, and £2 if you're waged, otherwise £1.
A writing exercise may be introduced to enliven the proceedings, but please be assured that your work takes pride of place!
For anyone in need of inspiration, please consider up-and-coming events of the next ten days: Halloween, All Saints and All Souls Days, and Bonfire night; that topaz, the birthstone for November, signifies warmth. The Ancient Egyptians dedicated topaz to Ra, their sun god.
Looking forward to seeing and earing you and your work on Sunday, 3rd November, 5.30pm to 8.30pm. Please spread the word about this event, bring a friend and come when you can, go when you must!

Price: £2.00. (£2 (waged) £1 (unwaged))

Time: 5:30pm (Ends 20.30 at the latest)
