Women Aloud is a group of poets who have been developing their poetry together for some time and are achieving success in competitions/publications. They are: Judith van Dijkhuizen, Gill Garrett, Christine Griffin, Penelope Ayres, Frances March, Belinda Rimmer.
More recently, the group has been led by Angela France, who also reads at this event. Angela France is the author of several critically acclaimed collections, her latest being The Hill (Nine Arches Press). David Morley said of her poetry that it ‘possesses and is possessed by a gloriously sheared weight and shared music.’
Concessions apply only to minors (under 18s), full-time students under the age of 25 and those officially registered as disabled or unemployed.
