YOGA & POETRY WORKSHOP: CREATIVITY OF FLOW

Prepare the body - Still the mind - Become receptive to your inner creativity of flow

“Just as poetry uses words to go beyond language, yoga uses the body to go beyond form.” - Jason Bowman

Join us in exploring and defining our own creativity. Perhaps you’ve always wanted to write, but aren’t sure how to start. Or you’d like to know how to use your body for creativity, but feel somewhat intimidated?

Join Creative Directors, Natalie and Esi as they guide you through an interactive 3 hour workshop of yoga, meditation, and poetry; inspiring you on your own creative journey deep into the heart, and back out into the world.

Yoga opens up enormous channels of creativity and teaches us how to embrace the ‘process’ rather than focusing on the ‘goal.’

Poetry has the ability to inspire thought, expression, and creativity; it can also promote healing and personal growth. Through poetry we can connect to self, others, our communities, and our spirituality.

Who’s this for:

This workshop is open to everyone. You do not need to be an experienced poet; nor have practiced yoga in order to join us. We promote inclusivity, and welcome all. We only ask that you come with an open mind, and be willing to explore your own creative potential in a nurturing and judgement free environment.

What to expect:

Movement: Natalie will guide you through a moving meditation, removing obstacles in your physical and mental body; preparing you to connect to your creativity.

Creation through word: Esi will lead you through empowering poetry exercises designed to encourage self expression, and explore your creative intuition.

What you’ll get:

* An opportunity to learn more about how yoga and meditation can support and promote creativity; and how poetry can be used as a self healing tool

* A supportive and nurturing environment to explore mindfulness, expression and creativity

* Increased self awareness; yoga promotes awareness of the body and mind, encouraging mindfulness and gently helping you to become aware of your thoughts. Poetry can help us become more attuned to what’s going on in our hearts and minds, through the process of expressing our thoughts and feelings.

* Yoga and meditation tips and practical tools to implement into your life immediately, assisting with creative flow

* A poetry prescription to take away- including inspiring poetry, and exercise templates which will allow you to continue to create your own self healing poetry at home

* Nutritious snacks and carefully created herbal elixirs made in house by a qualified Naturopath

Recent testimonial:

"I felt moved, inspired and energised during and afterwards too. I genuinely don't know where that poem came from, and never would have believed I could write something, let alone something from the heart and imagination like that ...
You were awesome too and I was so impressed with the effort and thought that went into the workshop, along with the magical healing space you created for openness and trust... It was no wonder some on the workshop were brought to tears sharing the poems they had written without fear of judgement or disclosure outside of the group... It was a beautifully open sanctuary for creativity and heart flow. I feel the beautiful yoga session from Natalie before really worked and opened up the perfect heart head bridge way.
The venue was the perfect urban oasis, I loved the calming energy in the room away from the hustle of the city streets just a few metres away. The food was delicious too and clearly made with love.
I was truly moved and inspired by the experience and will be back and recommending to friends and my work place too. Everyone needs this!" - James Boris Kay
