Southcart Books and Walsall Poetry Society are proud to present the launch of not one, not two but three poetry books from local poets Paul Morris, Matt Aitch and Richard Archer.
As well as the launch there will be a poetry open mic open to all, free wine, a raffle with some great poetry prizes and the chance to hear Paul, Matt and Richard read from their new books. Plus copies of the books being launched will be on sale.
Matt will be launching "Bullet Verse, " which is Matt's observations about the things he sees from day to day. From poems inspired by people on buses, to a wedding reception and mental health, Matt attempts to capture points in time through his poetry.
Paul will be launching "Hopeful Dreams and Damaged Nightmares. " a collection of poetry and very short stories. Everything in this book is quite emotionally dark (apart from the odd one or two poems about love) and possibly should only be read when you're in a good mood. Having said that, you may find some of the poetry and stories relevant to your current existence and therefore quite useful.
Richard will be launching "Creative Waste," his fifth book of poetry.
The book seeks to answer some very important questions such as....
Are there really Werewolves controlling Wall Street?"
What happened to the girl with a star in her eye?"
Plus most importantly of all...
"Who would he choose to play him in a movie about his life?"
