This is to let you know that the poet Daniel Gustafsson is joining Co-op Writers York this Sunday, 5th November, 4.30-7.30pm, in the Snug, downstairs at The Royal Oak on Goodramgate, to talk about his poetry, his background, his experiences as a writer in both Swedish and English, to read poems in each language, and to tell us a little about the literary, in particular poetry, scene in Sweden as well as England, and the challenge of bring work to publication in both countries.
There will also be an opportunity to buy or order his published work.
Daniel's presentation will dominate the first half of the workshop, to about 6pm, thereafter (till 7.30) it's your turn to air and share your work with us, hopefully, with Daniel staying with us to respond, comment and give advice about your work.
As usual, if you're bringing work along, please try to bring 5 or 6 copies, of work or an excerpt of your work, not exceeding 2,000 words or four sides of A4.
Even if you don't have work to share, please come along and listen, ask questions and discuss things with our guest writer. And feel free to bring a friend or friends who you feel might benefit from this workshop experience.
Charge for earners is £2, otherwise £1.
Hope you can make what could be a very interesting experience, whether you're prime interest is in language/linguistics or literature.
