Professor Douglas Dunn is a distinguished poet. He was educated first at the Scottish School of Librarianship, and then at University of Hull, where he obtained a First Class Honours degree in English. Prior to studying at Hull, he worked as a librarian in Scotland and Akron, Ohio. Dunn is now an Honorary Professor at St Andrews, still undertaking postgraduate supervision in the School of English and has just produced his first collection of poetry in ten years.

Rory Waterman's second poetry collection, Sarajevo Roses, has just been published by Carcanet. His début, Tonight the Summer's Over (Carcanet, 2013), was a PBS Recommendation and was shortlisted for the Seamus Heaney Prize. He also co-runs New Walk Editions, and writes for the TLS and other publications. Waterman gained his BA and PhD from the University of Leicester, so this is a homecoming. He is senior lecturer in English at Nottingham Trent University.

Dunn and Waterman will be reading from their current collections at what promises to be a unique poetry event.
