Poet and performer Dave Reeves and performance poet and mixed media artist Wendy Freeman run a National Poetry Day workshop amongst the recently restored medieval wall painting of the Guild Chapel.
Working together as 'What Lies Beyond...' they will use this unique environment as inspiration and backdrop to the writing.
Defaced and limewashed in the 16th Century following the Reformation – on orders given to John Shakespeare – father of the playwright, hidden for hundreds of years, the medieval wall paintings are now said to be amongst the finest to have survived in all of Europe.
