A most informal even of poetry.
Come along and share with the room your own poems, your favourite poems or just sit back and enjoy listening.
With poets writing about different topics, in different styles in different ways it will be a delightfully varied evening with something for everyone.
It won't like an open mic where you stand up on a stage. The poetry will simply move it's way around the Auditorium where poets and audience are all together.
The bar will be open through out the evening and you can come and go as you wish.
The entry on the door is a minimum donation of £2.50 to cover the cost of the theatre hire.
After this first event, the FIRST Wednesday of September, Poets Out Loud will become a monthly event taking place on the SECOND Wednesday of the month.
The Kirkgate Centre is fully accessible for all abilities including a lift to the theatre and bar on the first floor.
It is also adjacent to two carparks, one free and the other costing £1.00 from 7pm - 7am.
