World House: An Evening of Poetry and Discussion

‘The World House’ event: an evening of thoughtful poetry and enlightening discussion on identity, guided by the thought provoking piece by Martin Luther King:

‘” A widely separated family inherits a house in which they have to live together.” This is the great new problem of mankind. We have inherited a large house, a great “world house” in which we have to live together […] a family unduly separated in ideas, culture and interest, who, because we can never again live apart, must learn somehow to live with each other in peace.’

It will be a fundraising event to support the charity’s work in creating a harmonious and cohesive society. 3FF connects people of all beliefs and religions to help create a more connected and integrated society.

The event will consist of 4 poets and an open discussion. We would love our audience to contribute their own experiences and viewpoints to our open discussion, whilst of course, being respectful of other speakers! Additionally, there may be an exciting opportunity for our event to be filmed. If this is a problem for you, please inform one of our volunteers when you arrive! Refreshments and light snacks will also be available throughout the evening.

Entry is priced at £5 (pay on the door), however any other donations for the fundraiser would be greatly appreciated! There will also be a raffle with prizes that have kindly been donated by local businesses.
