ROBERT GARNHAM mixes a non-rhyming rhythm-led scat style with Alan Bennettesque whimsy. Like Pam Ayres but with different eyebrows”.
- Torbay Poetry Festival
“Robert is a larger-than-life, spectacular, scene-stealing tornado of a performer. A gigantic toddler who's been let loose in a verbal pyrotechnics factory. .. beneath his comic veneer lie poignant truths about loneliness, fear of inadequacy, gay politics and the human condition.”
- Melanie Braunton
RAISE THE ROOF – this fun-loving ladies Barbershop Quartet, are the most lively and engaging singers imaginable. They deliver a wide repertoire of acapella in stunning four part harmony. We came across them when they stole our hearts with a Leonard Cohen song at November’s Catching the Drift open mic session.
Frequently honoured as prizewinners in the Sweet Adelines International Competition, all four members of Raise the Roof sing locally in Plymouth Mayflower chorus.
Kirstie Spencer - Tenor
Jacqueline Craddock - Lead
Rosalind Waite - Baritone
Becky Saxton - Bass
