An evening of poetry and music. The event features the popular poet and performer Hollie McNish, winner of the UK National Poetry Slam in 2009, whose new collection Nobody Told Me is a unique blend of poetry and storytelling, taken straight from her personal diaries. As she states herself ‘it is not a polished collection’; rather, it is a very candid, at times gutting, at others hilarious, look at her experiences of motherhood, from pregnancy to the pre-school drop off. For the evening's music we welcome back the talented and elusive Fitz, our local flamenco guitar aficionado. There are six open mic slots, sign up at the door from 7.00pm, and the M/C is Kim Moore.
