Headliners:

David Subacchi
David Subacchi was born in Aberystwyth, Ceredigion in 1955.

It was the death of David’s father in 2011 that inspired him to begin writing poetry seriously. David’s obituaries for his father appeared in The Guardian, The Independent and The Catholic Herald as well as various Welsh Language publications such as Golwg and Y Cymro.
David is a member of Wrexham’s Voicebox Poetry Group, Viva Voce Wrexham, Cross Border Poets, Liverpool’s Dead Good Poets, A Lovely Word (Everyman Theatre), Liver Bards, North West Poets, Wirral Bards, Whitchurch Writers and Chester Poets. He is active with the Theatre Wales network and local community arts networks in Wales. He performs his poetry frequently at live spoken word events and elsewhere and he has appeared twice in his home town at Aberystwyth Arts Centre.
As well as his two poetry collections ‘First Cut’ (2012) ‘Hiding in Shadows’ (2014) and 'Not Really a Stranger' (Forthcoming May 2016) published by Cestrian Press
David is currently working on a collection of his poems in the Welsh Language for publication. To date his poetry in Welsh has appeared in Yr Angor (Aberystwyth), Nene (Rhosllanerchrugog), Y Clawdd (Wrecsam) and Barddoniaeth Saith Seren (Wrecsam). He is the current holder of the Ceredigion Museum Poetry Prize.

Christopher Bowles
Christopher Bowles is an award-winning playwright and director, founding Magpie Man Theatre, and producing his debut show 'MOUTH' in last year's Greater Manchester Fringe Festival. Seizing the accolade of 'Best Spoken Word' for the series of over a hundred monolgues, the show is now poised to tour nationally this Autumn. He is currently rehearsing follow up production, 'AUTOPSY' – a piece of physical theatre examining our relationship with our own flesh through a cast of actors, dancers, performance artists and poets.
Introduced to the world of performance poetry through cast alumni Rod Tame, Christopher won the September heat of slam poetry night, 'Word War Two'. He has since become a fixture on the spoken word scene, regularly performing at both Evidently and FLIM NITE; including a guest performance on the latter's 'Jaws' themed line-up.
Christopher also supported Dominic Berry on the Manchester leg of his 'Mortal Kombat...' tour, and has recently headlined for Halifax-based night 'Spoken Weird'. He will be appearing as the guest performer at 'The Writing Group's' May event; and last month, won the audience vote at Stirred's Found Poetry Slam.
His writing has appeared on digital platform 'Poet's Corner', in a collection curated by Ciarán Hodgers; and his short story 'Siren' was also published in Bridge House's 'Snowflakes' anthology (2015). Christopher is also currently developing new writing with the HONOUR choir, a group of community singers commemorating the anniversary of the First World War.

These are our headliners. we know you'll enjoy them.
