Spoken Word Wednesday @ The Whitaker
Wordy Rappinghood.

7.30pm prompt

"What are words worth ?" So sang Tom Tom Club in the chorus to their hardy perennial pop people pleaser  ' Wordy Rappinghood'. We'll be estimating the metre once again on Spoken Word Night- on balance a rewarding way to spend the evening of the second Wednesday of the month .

Come down early and enjoy a surprisingly diverse mix of styles and deliveries, with something to keep everyone entertained, and why not share your own tongue twisting talents with our encouragingly erudite audience?

Spoken Word is a catch-all term for Performance Poetry, Monologues and Storytelling, indeed any form of wonderful wordplay.

Entry: FREE

Time: 7:30pm

Reviews for Spoken Word@theWhitaker

I called the venue a few months ago and was told this monthly event no longer takes place. Is this true?

If so, that's unfortunate as it's been an enjoyable experience in the past.
