Camden's legendary monthly poetry slam night's penultimate slam of the season - sign up on the door from 7 to take part, the first 8 slammers get in for £3.

We have two absolutely incredible feature artists for your delectation, hosted with bounce and verve by Michelle Madsen and Poetcurious.

Sally Jenkinson is a poet who lives and works in Brighton, but she grew up in Doncaster (South Yorkshire), where they say poem like this: ‘poym’.

In 2015 she toured Australia, where she took her show ‘Folly’, to The Adelaide Fringe, with support from Arts Council England and The British Council.

Her debut collection of poems, Sweat-borne Secrets, was released in 2012 through very wonderful indie publishing house Burning Eye Books. Kate Fox said it is “…sensuous, surreal, bold and beautiful, Sally’s image-filled poems spill gloriously across the page. Often, a line will leap out and squeeze you by the throat.’’

She has performed at festivals and lovely poetry events all over Britain such as Glastonbury, Womad, Secret Garden Party, Larmer Tree, Boomtown, Shambala, Sunrise, Cheltenham Poetry Festival, Bristol Poetry Festival, Tongue Fu and Hammer & Tongue.

Inua Ellams is an award winning poet, playwright and performer; a writer with a style influenced by classic literature and hip hop, by Keats as it is by MosDef. Rooted in a love for rhythm and language, he crosses 18th century romanticism and traditional story telling with contemporary diction, loose rhythm and rhyme.

2009 saw the debut of his first play - The 14th Tale, which toured nationally, scooping a prestigious Fringe First Award at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival before returning to London for a sold-out run at the Cottesloe, National Theatre. His 2nd play ‘Untitled’ toured nationally for 30 dates including 2 weeks at Soho Theatre in October 2010.

Inua fell for visual art as a child and strove for such a career, until writing in his late teens; he works as a graphic designer / Visual artist as such describes himself as a ‘Word & Graphic Artist’. Both art forms combined, his client list includes: The Royal Opera House, Royal Albert Hall, Royal Festival Hall, The National Theatre, BAC, Roundhouse, Soho Theatre, British Council, BBC Radio 1 through to 4, BBC Tv, The Mayor of London, East London Dance, Luis Vuitton, TATE Modern & Britain and the South Bank Centre to name a few.
