HIT THE ODE MANCHESTER
Presented by Apples and Snakes and Ben Mellor

Bringing the best poets from the region, the country and the world to the heart of Manchester.

This second edition of Hit the Ode Manchester will feature Buddy Wakefieild, one of the most successful performance poets anywhere in the world, he has two Individual World Poetry Slam Championship wins under his belt as well as countless live appearances across the US and Europe. Wakefield, who is not concerned with what poetry is or is not, delivers raw, rounded, disarming performances of humor and heart.

Also featuring, Anna Freeman, a multiple slam champion, a novelist, a creative writing lecturer at Bath Spa University and a producer for Bristol Old Vic. And Keisha Thompson - a performance and page poet. She has been published in various anthologies and is a core member of Manchester's youth writing groups: Young Identity and Inna Voice. Hosted by Ben Mellor and Bohdan Piasecki.

We have poems which crunch when bitten. Poems buzzing like wires between pylons. Good poems. Come and get them.

Price: £6.00 / £3.00
