The last free event as part of the Bournemouth Emerging Art Fringe at Makers Inc
Word Makers 2nd Heat of Poetry/Spoken Word Slam, Open Mic and Guest Poets:
There will be 3 monthly heats and a grand final. Each heat will have 2 winners plus one wild card chosen by the audience.
The dates are the 2nd Sunday of the month, starting in September 2014:
14/09/14 - launch night and 1st monthly heat
12/10/14 - 2nd monthly heat
16/11/14 - 3rd monthly heat
14/12/14 - grand final
Each evening will have a set format running from 7pm to 10-30/11pm (times are approximate and can change on the night depending on number of participants for the open Mic and the Slam):
7pm to 8-30pm: Open mic
8-30pm to 8-45pm: Break
8-45pm to 9-45pm: Spoken word Slam
9-45 to 10-15pm: Guest poet slot
10-15pm to 10-30pm: results
Heat winners,Wild Cards and Overall winner will be offered the opportunity to perform as a guest poet at Word Makers, Verbal Remedies-Bournemouth and Freeway Poets.
