The shipping forecast is a long running poetry comedy night in Sheffield featuring the country's top spoken word acts such as Luke Wright, Tim Clare, Byron Vincent and more plus local headliners as well as musicians, comedians and variety entertainers.

It's mission is to shake up poetry open mic nights and make them fun and accessible for all.
The shipping forecast is an escapist's paradise with a room transformed into a ship and hosted captain birdeye with a host of characters such as George the shark and Sting, and games to make it a distinctive and enjoyable evening of entertainment for all.
