The Pop Up Anthology Public Launch

This event on 30th September 2014 has past.

Contact: popupoetry@gmail.com

This is the night that we launch our anthology of poems by writers and performers who have read at our monthly poetry night at the Bar Des Arts, Pop Up Poetry. Dónall Dempsey, the Daddy of Pop Up Poetry, will be hosting.

The anthology is 184 pages long, and includes work by 68 poets from all walks of poetic life. Janice Windle, the editor, has aimed at an eclectic mix of "stage and page", with established award-winning published poets cheek by jowl with award-winning performance poets - and every one between those extremes who has stood on the platform and entertained a Bar Des Arts audience.

As well as readings by the contributors to the book, we have the wonderful Dirty Carols, led by Louise Etheridge and Elizabeth Molyneux, to give us some more of their rational rants and sophisticated smut!

The 2014 anthology will be on sale at the discounted price of £8.50 (The normal price, excluding postage, is £9.95) to all who come to this public launch.

Contributors have first option to read in the open mic (and can buy their first copy of the anthology at half price) and there will be floor spots open to others after that.

This will be another night to remember at the Bar Des Arts, the original home of Pop Up Poetry!
