Sarah Wardle won Poetry Review's new poet of the year award in 1999 and has had four collections from Bloodaxe Books: Fields Away (2003), shortlisted for Forward Best First Collection; Score! (2005); A Knowable World (2009); and Beyond (2014). She works at Middlesex University, Morley College and as a supply teacher.

CHRISSIE GITTINS was born in Lancashire and lives in Forest Hill. Her first poetry collection is Armature (Arc) and her second is I’ll Dress One Night As You (Salt). In 2013 Paekakariki Press published her third pamphlet collection Professor Heger’s Daughter in traditional letterpress with 7 original wood engravings. Chrissie’s short story collection is Family Connections (Salt). Her radio plays include Poles Apart, Starved for Love, Life Assurance and Dinner in the Iguanodon.

Fawzi Karim was born in Baghdad in 1945 and now living in London, Fawzi Karim is rapidly establishing a reputation as a major figure in contemporary poetry. Plague Lands, his first book of poems in translation was a Poetry Book Society recommendation for 2011. Recently Grey Suit Editions have published a chap-book of his new poems entitled The Empty Quarter (versions by Anthony Howell after translations made by the author).
