Entry: Pay What You Decide
Open Mic Event
For our March Coffee House Night we welcome three talented voices who will be sharing their words with us.
Ralph Dartford is the co-founder of A Firm of Poets and Ossett Observer. Ralph has been published in The Guardian, Stirring Magazine, Pulp Faction and London Territories. His first Collection, Cigarettes, Beer and Love is published by the Ossett Observer in 2013 to wide acclaim, and his first spoken word album, Swoon will be released in 2017.
Stephen Hill (aka Shuffls)
Stephen Hill is quickly becoming a recognised voice in Huddersfield as a spoken word poet who aims to discuss topics in an unapologetically honest and passionate way. His writing and performance reminds us that we are all capable of winning and losing, bleeding and healing, being hurt and inflicting pain; as we are all united through our imperfections.
Ella Otomewo is a performance poet living in Manchester where she studies English and Drama at University of Salford. She is part of the spoken word collective Young Identity and was chosen to be part of Words First, the BBC’s first spoken word season in collaboration with Roundhouse Theatre, writing and performing with other poets in her region. Ella’s work is feminist, reflective, and incandescent.
