Intrigued by the reference to the Museum of Futures, Lucy, I googled to learn more. I grew up in Surbiton, and my first newspaper job was at the Kingston Borough News further up Brighton Road. (It's some kind of fast-food outlet or restaurant now). Our editor maintained some sort of connection with your premises when it was a former detective agency, as I remember. Happy days!
