Zethembiso, thanks for your recent comment on 'tv' lyrics. i mentioned the band as i think its a great song. i quite often put song lyrics on to encourage them as a form of poetry, but i must admit its usually when i cant think of my own :p

a friend of mine taught me some swahili once, he was from nairobi. sadly my memory is terrible..i remember 'jumbo' but not sure how to spell it, but better still he showed me the african way to handshake! ;0

we painted big sheets with africa/uk designs for the church where we worked together in the cafe and played a lot of african music cds, it was definately evocative of an african way and certainly brightened up our dull grey english church :)

beautiful,
thanks again x

Thanks for the comment on Anna Dacie. I thought I would keep the lines short and to the point.

Hello zethembiso. Someone posted my poem word for word without giving me credit.
I posted "Nontraditional Haiku about MY Poem", because my daughter says the first poem, "Haiku about a Stolen Poem" was worded a little too strongly.
I contacted the website and told the administrator that I don't have a problem with anyone posting my poetry I just ask to receive proper credit. He removed the poem.

Thanks for your comment,
Shirley

Sawubona Zethembiso. Wemukelekili to Write Out Loud. Ngiyabonga Kakhulu for the comments you made on Fathers 4 Justice. It is good to know that some people can look upon objectively and realize that yes, Men do after all have hearts. There is difficulty in the UK for children at the moment. And men are being given the blame for all societies ills.

I hope that you enjoy the site, and that your writings go from strength to strength.

Further, Black is beautiful! : )))

My wife is from Durban, a strong Zulu woman who knows how to (fairly), keep me in place.

I have visited Africa several times and know her to be a beautiful continent, I wish more people realized that.

One love Zethembiso, i believe in it. I believe in ubuntu.

Best wishes

Mike
