Ann! Thank you for your comment on "Child". I was just looking at a small child another day and thought that i'd be annoyed if people stare at me, even lovingly, when i sleep.

I like your "Pink"! It's about pain, but pain small, curable and self-inflicted, so it's quite comfortable to read, although of course u feel sorry for poor burnt person :-)Unfortunately it was about yesterday's weather - and now - back to normal! X

Just looked now, didn't realise you meant today!! When i had looked on the net for the definition, one was 'a collector', i took that context.
urgh! such a confuddled morning today!! xx

Hi Ann, i honestly haven't seen that, i had written the word down months ago but wasn't able to do anything wqith it. I go back to my notepad sometimes and just sort of look at the words i have noted down and see what happens. Reaverman came from that x

Hi Ann,

I had hoped the nursery rhyme type thing worked! Thanks for your comments. I kind of do believe in evil as an 'living' entity but i think it's a sketchy area, particularly in a child so young. Does make me want to know more though. Look forward to seeing yours soon x

Hello Ann. Glad you liked Brown Study. I should imagine there's too many people on WOL for a similar exercise to be successful.I'm not in touch with that poet any more. Her name is Suzanne and she lives in Finland. Not much help really is it!

Hi - Ann - yes I guess we should WALOP. Only problem being that people must email me with poems they feel worthy of nomination, for us then to all to vote on a winner. I have only had a couple of people do that so far. Do you have a list for me? If so, do email me... I will put a reminder up tomorrow. I guess Pandora's box may end up on two lists - but that doesn't matter, since the original idea was just a bit of fun.

You should definitely post yours! - I love Sheherezade! :)

Hello Ann
Just got your comment on my page about abandoning ship.
Please don't.
I haven't followed all the thread I commented on as I've had two problems. Firstly, I was in Scarborough on holiwags so I could only respond by mobile text and secondly, I've got worms computer virus kinds) so I haven't been able to log on when I got back home.
Anyway, I don't know all the thread, the heat etc. All I'd say is you seem a nice person and the site would be poorer without you.

hi anne. thanks for all your astute comments on my poetry.
regarding the frustration toward men who cant dance I completely relate. as a ballet dancer in my youth the competition for the usually only male dance partner was fierce and I developed a well honed skill of relating to gay men :) In irish dance the male dancer always won everything and given the best parts and treated like gods cos they were so rare...in swing roc or any salsa type classes women would snarl and fight each other with bitching if they had to share their husbands with excess girl dancers specially as men like to dance with me cos im good! although some men just get that ole thing 'id rather f*** my dog than dance with you' dont worry i dont actually have a dog;)but the best dance of all for me is the argentinian tango...i still dance it as its open to all ages and is the most sublime intuitive dance between partners. i was fortunate enough to claim the best looking, best moving man in the room. Clive...i miss him so but hope to meet up again at the next big milonga then sweep the room all caught up in the thrill of it all...ah.
i love that you write about dance x

Please don't Ann; not on my, or indeed anyone's account. I meant what I said. No one should ever feel thay have to quit because of the words/actions of others. We all add our own colour to this place, and it would certainly be a lot less colourful without you around. Love your new pic by the way, reminds me of something I once wrote ...
Take care of yourself,
Best regards,

Thanks for the link Ann - yes it did go on a bit - I guess sometimes you just have to be there! It is good to see old traditions being kept alive though. So much of our culture is now influenced by American TV.
I had a good bank holiday anyway - for once made a trip South that didn't involve painful traffic jams each way. Perhaps the bad weather put people off travelling!
Hope you had a good one. x

Ta for your kind words, Ann. There was a pop song many moons ago that had a fade-out which included the lines "Keep on dreaming!" Wish I could remember who sang it.Maybe it'll come to me. * I prefer the romance of the north to the south. Mind you, I know there are plenty of windswept moors in the west country as well!

*Remembered it. Never Had a Dream Come True, Stevie Wonder

Hi Ann - MORE INFO - great poem - & I'm not just saying that because.....
BTW - nothing wrong with a little "doggy style" anyway if you get my drift :) Also - phosphorus for a hound of the baskervilles might have a certain "logic" anyway, because (pardon me if you know already) phosphorus glows in the dark - hence the name - so that'd be decidedly spooky at night seeing just 2 eyes bounding across the moors towards you !! I think that would certainly get MY attention :0

Ann, thanks for your kind remarks on Analgesic. I'm not a smoker myself for 20 years. I do feel, though, that the focus on smoking has gone over the top. I think it's a form of displacement; we'd do far better to restrict the use of the motor car.Wine is the most wonderful thing in the world. Apart from football.
