Hi, Kealan. Thanks for responding. No, I totally got the 'Hamas' thing; in so many ways the early Israelites were 'terrorists' of their era, god-oriented or not. In my opinion, I think it was introducing the idea of 'woman' into the mix, in any form, that diluted rather than augmented your idea. I did enjoy Rachel's comments. Perhaps she picked up 'ghosts' far better than I did. Maybe one has to be a committed Roman Catholic to fully understand the dynamism of the idea of Virgin Mary as 'perfect woman'. Maybe that wasn't your intent at all. I also wondered about 'admitted', but I have heard that word used. 'committed' is better, no question; avoids a 'bump' in getting your ideas started clearly.

Kealan, how did you use the word 'solice' as in 'a disgrace to solice' in your comment about Thomas' latest poem? I looked it up, and found nothing; yet 'solace' didn't seem quite right either. I know you love language; so I'm interested.

Thanks for your comment on 'Flea Circus'. I'm afraid your observation misses the point of the poem i.e. it's the reaction of the audience rather than how the circus really works. Incidentally, there were mechanical flea circuses that didn't have any fleas at all

Good morning Kealan. No mention of Russian missile imports in your comments,or possible kick-off of third world war? Respect to your views nevertheless.Just a figurehead, not the whole ship type poem. There was the Monroe enigma too.Shame we could,nt keep the old cars running here, like they do in Cuba-these modern cars are untouchable when anything goes wrong-then its big wallet time!-Stef.

Kealan, we're all 'fairly shit' -- in our own eyes or those of others, but so what. 'Poetry will teach you poetry' -- that's all we need to remember.

So the greatest tribute we can offer to each other is this, as from me to you -- 'Keep writing..you have something to say..'

Michael

“Today a young man on acid realized that all matter is merely energy condensed to a slow vibration, that we are all one consciousness experiencing itself subjectively, there is no such thing as death, life is only a dream, and we are the imagination of ourselves. Here’s Tom with the weather.” Bill Hicks

Thanks, I wrote it last night. My daughter asked me to write about Autumn and also the moon (which I have done but not too sure about it at the moment). I like your work some of it could be used in one of the brilliant dark comics such as Watchmen or Dark Knight if you get my drift ' it seems you have just killed the jester' - "you have the right of freedom
If you have enough money." Nice and dark, ready for a fight.
