Bowie was like a psychedelic kite flying crazily towards the heavens but whose string was tethered miraculously in firm ground. Couldn't help but love him.

Thanks for this, John. I was a uni drop-out in 1972, and Hunky Dory and Ziggy Stardust kind of saved my life at the time.
