An interesting poem Marla.
I find myself asking who or what the "you" is in your poem. Is the piece a suggestion of a higher power or is it a physical presence such as a partner or a purpose.
The final words "I yield" appear to be the surrender of free will, or maybe it is like "The Diceman Man" a wandering soul at the behest of circumstance.
Maybe the "you" is simply the inspiration or muse which guides the artists brush to paint their canvas. All things are open to interpretation and with that in mind the answer to my question isn't at all important. I was though wondering about your take on the meaning, of course there is no need for you to respond.
Whatever it is it garners interest.
