Thank you Hélène for your thoughtful words. It is indeed how you say it is. I think a lot of the times children are pressurised and bullied into staying into unhealthy relationships or relationships that hurt, because 'they are your parents'. Cutting ties with them is stigmatized when it shouldn't (always) be and it really does require a lot of courage to break free from that stigma.
