Hi Don - appreciate your point of view on this matter but WoL has to be many things for many different people from many different backgrounds so a poetry community built on acceptance and variety is what I like to log onto each day.

Perhaps when you visit the site you should click on the 'All Blogs' link on the homepage where it's then easy to scroll through each new entry and just read a few lines to gauge whether or not the poem is to your taste. You can then choose whether to read more or scroll down to the next. Saves getting upset unnecessarily.

Well Don, it's good that you've got it off your chest and let us all know how you feel. The best thing is that you have done so in a humorous way and not resorted to venom and personal invective.

It has to be said that a lot of poetry is very is cathartic and may be why many of our members wish to express their feeling in such a form.

Can I remind you that you can of course cloak those poets who's work you find not to your liking so you won't be offended in the future.
