Thank you Frances. I wrote it as part of NaPoWrMo in my first time of taking part. We had to write about something dull we cared about and why. I was quite struck by the emotion that writing it welled up in me.

I know at times I'm flippant
At times I even joke
But this invention's serious
From here that I have spoke
https://www.designweek.co.uk/issues/8-14-april-2019/could-earrings-be-designed-to-prevent-pregnancy/
Now that you've come to mention it
The chemists I will ask
To come up with patch-watch maybe?
Sperm-neutralizing task?

Well Don, humanity marches on but does anyone know the direction in which we are travelling. At first I thought this was a joke but you have convinced me of its veracity. I wonder if men can buy a similar item of jewellrey to neutralise sperm.
Thanks
Keith

This is a beautiful poem full of selfless generosity and love and ending with
"My love knows no limits"
- so full of warmth- I am left wanting to delve deeper - wanting to know more - waiting for the next one.

Thanks for your comments on "First Ride".
I said it as best I could.
all kids are drawn to horses I think.
and all want to ride.
When you have a horse underneath you.
you are on top of the world.

A good poem which focuses on the despair and stress experienced by most people today, particularly as we get older. I also think it needs several readings as there are hidden meanings which require some additional thought. It is wrought from direct experience.
Thank you for this

They say that inside every poet there is a philosopher and this poem bears witness to this. It also embodies a moral element of real interest.

Reminds me of the film "Ryan's Daughter" with its sweeping
coastal vistas.
"four bars and four churches,
one of which an ancient ruin".
Not a bar, I presume ?

Hi Keith
A Poem that makes you stop and ponder. This needed to be written. The fact that times have changed for us in recent years is great news but there should never have been an inequality in the first place should there?
Nevertheless, progress is progress and times are looking brighter and more hopeful.
