I am a Tree

I am a tree
I stand tall
Nothing bothers me

I am a tree
I sway back and forth
The breeze gently moves me

I am a tree
I provide shade
Gather around under me

I am a tree
I provide clean air
Breathe me in and your lungs will be free

I am a tree
I am your summer escape
Your tire swing swings below me

I am a tree
I am your resting spot
After a long working day

I am a tree
I provide shelter
To all my bird friends and their family

I am a tree
Knock me down
And you will miss me

This poem was an attempt to “branch out” of my regular theme. It started out light-hearted and full of affirmations.

Rooted to the spot Kimberly. Time to branch out a bit.

I like your serious take Kimberley. It appealed to my light-hearted side

I am a pole
Type light
I light dole

I am a pole
Point to sky
Watch scampering foals

I am a pole
Providing night light
Is my goal

(Some days my keepers forget to turn me off ??)

I am a pole
Birds poop on me
But night light is my role

Roll on day
Roll on
Roll on.....
