most utopian of independencies

freedom in the true sense of the word

is never truly free

if you want the real thing

then you may have to pay the highest prices you have ever paid

it is a wild child without a care in the world of its own

a stitched to the skin all in one suit of original liberty

a key to the universe of everyone's ultimate desire

an endless ride on the wind

eel slippery, uncatchable as a shadow

unwilling to be owned willo'the wisp

a perfect get-away from it all escape-clause

a disentanglement from woven into our lives materialism

an unlocking of modernisms shackles

a flash in a dreamers pan

to take on the search for it

that elusive jackpot

is it worth the trouble,

or are the odds of finding it stacked against us?

the answer lies I think

in the strength of everyone's personal determination.

◄ of a dad who never was

beneath a heavy snow delivering sky ►

no, it's not dangerous Don, in fact, it might come in very handy to me next time I choose my lottery numbers, if I ever put them on that is 😊

Keith, what can I say other than the same I and lots of other folk would say to people who inspire them onwards with helpful comments and likes, such as your good self, Don, Chrystel ( who I agree with 100% Des, Lisa, Do.Rothy, and Adam....

There are so many wonderful phrases and lines in this, Rose. I love
stitched to the skin

But mostly I just love the poetic capture of "Nothing ventured, nothing gained"

A great poem to see first at 4:35 a.m. sleepless journey to the keyboard.
