Ours

You gave me pictures of us,

they slowly faded in their frames.

You gifted me flowers

And time wilted them away.

The youth of our bodies

Was tainted by the touch of years.

But our love my dear,

Our love was golden.

Strengthened by each moment, each second, each year

we shared and made ours.

Sentimental and lovely. I can see myself borrowing these lines for my husband. Thanks Adriana.

Yes, the second line is good, as Ruth says. The whole thing is good Adriana. Short, simple, succint. My sort of poem......
