Cerdd y dydd: Diwrnod un

A slow drive in a familiar battle

And the quickest switch

It was such a subtle rememberance

But it opened the gates locked against you

How swiftly we forget

When years hammer down our grudges

How quickly was my descent

Into my own trapped madness

But that day

All those days

Windows down

Music flooding swiftly out

My head on your shoulder

Your hand on mine

How quickly I forgot

But just as quick

It came right back

I remember

Am I am so sorry I forgot

But I have seen it written before

And it is true

Falling in love

Must be done again

And over and over

Because you can't help it when you're human

You always get distracted

And then forget

But I'll gladly hate you to love you again

I'll gladly forget you to remember when

Because the magic hasn't died

And it never will

Because what ties us together

Is stronger than ourselves

The thoughts behind it were very fragmented, so very perceptive! I'm on vacation, in as much as I'm not at work, and I decided to challenge myself to a poem a day, and, being an enormous Susan Cooper fan (I found the Grey King when I was lonely in the library in Fifth Grade. Someone had homemade a jacket with cut-outs of wolves on it and it attracted my attention immediately.) I decide to post the titles in Welsh. That book made me love the language.
