King of the Mountain

He who wins the prize may then dethrone the judge,

Taking away and proudly wearing all disdained boons,

Says  boost me up and then kicks backward making space for a newer throne,

And congregates the assiduous loners, sheparding a growing flock of strays,

He now critiques critique, his own gushing fountain,

He is a king indeed, but of which mountain?

Ruminations. I'm told I should loosen up. Alas, this is the result. Still, I know how to get to Carnegie Hall.
