I understand now why they call it flames

I watched you, dejected.

Kicking up dust and ashes

In a barren wasteland of

Your own mind.

I watched glowing embers

Hit the air

When you realized

What was happening.

I watched your eyes

Turn from brown to gold,

I watched gasoline being poured,

I saw the fire re-ignite,

I watched sparks

Flying around you

In a gust of incredible wind,

Catching everything,

I watched your world start to glow again.
