It's OK, NOT to be OK...

It’s OK, NOT to be OK…

Sometimes, it hits you
right out of the blue
No escaping that feeling,
that feeling of dread
No matter what you say,
no matter what you do

When that grey day turns black
When there’s no turning back
It’s like there’s nothing to win,
but everything to lose

The lights go dim
The walls close in
You think that it’s no-one else
but you…

We might not understand it
There may be no reason why
Tears start to flow,
then again, it might help to cry
There is no shame,
let them flow

The black dog doesn’t choose,
It doesn’t discriminate
They say it’s best to talk,
before it gets too late

And we might grin and bear it,
hoping it will go away
But what if it doesn’t?
What if it stays?

Maybe it is time to talk,
time to open up

Got something to say?
It’s OK, NOT to be OK…

Well said, Jeff. And a very good poem, too.
