She traced her poem on my skin

so when I breathe I breathe her in,

each touch a treasured silken word

too gentle to be overheard.

Upon my heart she wrote her book

on which no others eyes may look,

so now my life's love story told

the pages close no more to fold.

Thanks Frances,

I think these words are best left to stand alone without my interference, I am grateful for your observations in helping me to reach the decision to re-record....I was half way there already but you gave me the impetus to follow through.

I'm pleased the audio now affords the listener a little more freedom.

All the best,

Thanks folks..I appreciate the support,

Frances, my feelings on love are sincere..what I write I feel, there should be no doubting that...however, I am dubious about the quality of my expression of it and how attractive it is beyond the personal.

I hope you really don't stop listening to my audio...that is where I feel I can explain myself.

When it comes to romantic poetry I do like the classics, I am fond of the anti poet also, my favourite being the line "my mistress eyes are nothing like the Sun"

I guess I'm just not a straight forward type of person, I do like to be up front and honest about stuff, that said sometimes it is comforting to indulge an illusion.

I have found to my cost that it is often difficult to be honest when critiquing the poetry of others on WoL, people get sensitive about it. It is refreshing to at least be honest about the feelings I have for my own, safe in the knowledge that I won't be getting prickly and precious about it.

Thanks again..much appreciate people taking time to read and comment.

PS, I have re-recorded it. If people do enjoy it I don't wish to spoil it.

I thoroughly enjoyed reading this beautiful, romantic but finally sad declaration - then I listened to your apology!

This is the poetry of yours I liked to believe was most authentic - I've now decided I won't be listening to audios, preferring to keep my illusions.

That is one of the most touching expressions of love I've ever read.

You are way too hard on yourself Wolfgar because this poem is breathtakingly beautiful to hopeless romantics like me! That first verse takes me to a passionate place where I could stay all day. Encore!💖
