Can we change...

Strange is this time

Gliding like a stench,

through grey corridors of

our everyday life

It stinks, of musty

unpleasant memories

Unwanted events

Scattered, like stacks of fords

all over the floor

We want to forget

Throw the regret away

Get rid of the disappointments

Dump the mistakes on

the rubble waste of experiences

Can we change?

Do we still have the strength,

to clean up the mess

Dispose of the rubbish

Wash our hands

Can we repaint the

grey walls of our world

Breath in the fresh air

Open our eyes and once more

find the color in life...

Anya
You have such a way with words, for you, they simply fall into the right places,

'INFERNO' blew me away and this one has a similar effect - different though - regretful and wistfully hopeful,

I do so hope the answer is yes.

Yes we can change Anya is the simple answer. But making that change is not always easy and is often part of a journey of change that we enter on. This is a powerful piece addressed about a much vexed question for some. When you are in the centre of somewhere or something that you would rather not be it can be difficult to see a way out.

A great poem
Love it

A nice piece Anya. But far more than just a piece of poetry. Yes we can repaint the walls but the memory or past mistakes will still remain. Damage done never forgotten.
