This Fling I'm Having

entry picture

I'm having a fling with a fantastic forty-year-old fat female from Farnborough. She's friendly, fun-loving and feisty. I'm fascinated by her full figure and the way she fills out her frock. We indulge in frenzied foreplay, we fornicate frantically and play find the fingammibob.

Unfortunately I am forced to finish the affair as it's costing me a flipping fortune. She's frequently famished and forever filling her face... and I'm fucked if I'll finance her feasting!

Brian - either 'flack' or 'flak' can be used. You seem to have this bad habit of turning everything serious funny. It is not becoming of you.

Don - I do expect to get flak (no C, unless you mean Roberta).

This feels as if it's written by another person, not the fun-loving one I got to know from the other icon. Where has that one gone?

If you know there's people out there suffering from an eating disorder , you don't write a poem which could be interpreted as mocking them. It only offends and upsets.

If you write controversial poetry you must expect to get flack

This piece of writing you presented, only shows your true face I am afraid...

Thank you all for comments and likes.

Rather than cover two contentious subjects from within the WOL bubble looking out, I decided to jump inside the body of a man with misogynistic tendencies and tackle the subject from his perspective. Whilst his attitude is unpalatable to many, it is however an attitude that is widespread in the UK . So too is obesity widespread...it is the UK's largest growth area and I intend no pun by saying this. Yes I agree there is a small percentage of people with eating disorders, but in the main it is a lifestyle choice.

Writers should I believe be prepared to venture into controversial territory rather than continually stay on safe ground.

There should be nothing beyond the reach of humour. Check with film-maker Mel (Springtime for Hitler) Brooks! And using some
imaginative alliteration to add to the fun is a bonus. The interpretation placed on material is a matter for the reader to decide
and challenge.

Interesting that the two likes are both from women!

I would just like to propound

If a women wrote a poem about fat blokes would similar comments ensue?

If they were about me, or were aimed at you
what would you FAT blokes do.

Yep so was I together.
If you can't laugh at yourself, who can you laugh at?

I often laugh at my own comments and jokes because I am the only one that gets it.

MC …" Hit and myth" lol

Now that IS funny

In the interest of Yin and Yang, it would be interesting to have a
blog from the female involved - from the other side so to speak.
But I suspect this is more of an exercise in "hit and myth".

Brian, beside very clear traits of mysogyny in this. Have you ever heard about eating disorders? This is nothing to laugh about.

Po

I made no specific comment, wise crack, brag, jab, side slap and opinion on Brian's piece before going out tonight. If you look closely, at my previous comment, if anything, I was having fun at myself. I am now home.

I thought it was a bit uncalled for. Sorry Brian. I think you can do better.

I'm itching to go say my bit here
I'm itching to go say my thing
'Twill have to wait till I come home Brian
Cos it's Saturday night for my fling

Corse I might come home worn out and buggered
And too blurred up even to see
My comment could end up on another poem
Then where would my reputation be ?

I gotta have fun but stay fling-free
To comment Brian's 'This Fling I'm Having'
Already I'm in such a muddle
(Damn, nothing is rhyming with having...) 😎

Fling time. Gotta go
