MOD ~ PTSD Part ii

MOD – PTSD    Part ii

‘They’ said that he was ‘shipshape’ A1, and good to go

So that’s precisely what this Trooper did, he left and went AWOL.

In the morning, the Captain asked me, “Nip to Thetford and retrieve

a naughty Trooper who’d been locked up, for being absent without leave."

Upon entering the police station and removing him from his cell

I then drove him back to base… he wasn’t well, I could tell

He’d been locked up for getting drunk, and causing quite a fight.

I 'still' enter in that very cell... and ponder on his plight.

Although that was seven years ago, my memory never fades

Of how this brave young Trooper spend his night, terrified in Hades.

Rhyme used in this poem adds beauty n melody....although it adds to the beauty of the poem...nevertheless the brave, bold and strong outcome prominently stands out....bravo young trooper for another great write?
