MOD ~ PTSD Part i

Last night the MOD said… “The health of those who serve our country is of the utmost importance, which is why we strive to give them the very best care”

Just two words to say  #### Off

I hear there are a couple of scanners out there somewhere,    I just can’t remember where!

Thanks also to KJ W, Hallie and Lisa for your support.

Sadly there is always a human cost to several of my poems.

This subject again in this first week of 2019 has been so intrusive within my mind.

Another email across my desk adding to the ever growing list of deaths directly attributed to the topic of this poem.

Always plenty of topics to write about Ghazla.

I think the 'cladding' issues could be on the agenda.

While its still warm in peoples minds (pun intended).

Jon it goes on

"British troops who fought in Afghanistan and Iraq are killing themselves at a faster rate than their comrades that died on the battlefields...

1 every 14 days in these war zones!

I have driven so many young souls to see people who are doing their very best to help these lads cope with the stress and strains of 'everyday' life!!!!

Whilst waiting at Brize one afternoon I heard a voice behind me that was unmistakable! He was talking to several young guys who were about to embark.

"I'm just off to see some mates he said" as he set off to board the flight with them. A real diamond geezer in every sense of the word.

He made such an impact on me. As he made all that he talked with that afternoon feel so at ease, he patience was astounding as he posed for selfies and took time to listen to each one of the young lads.

I am certain that 'Ray' was indeed a like a 'Ray of sunshine' to all those 'friends' he saw.

Mostly these boys just need a friend to talk with that will just lend an ear.

Mr Winstone, you sir are a man I deeply respect.

I salute you

Big Guy
I almost cried today when I saw this in national snooze paper.

In The USA they give all your guys regular scans to determine if there is a possible issue that could later led to PTSD, depression mental illness and suicide... An all to often occurrence to vets here in Albion.

1 suicide every 13 days in 2018 the UK!

…"You don't trust politicians because you think they're all dishonest? Good luck finding one who meets your standards, Diogenes."

If only my light shined brighter Big Guy

You have the humor AND wisdom of Diogenes in your work, Po. Never lose grasp on that.?
