In this place lives the Jabberwocky

                Roaming free find Skimbleshanks

Through the mirror, Alice takes tea

                See the burning Tygers symmetry

Where daffodils become the host

               Things insignificant mean the most

As images flash through your mind

A nook or cranny there to find

When settled you can then peruse

                            and incorporate them

                                             within the muse.

Hi Becky it is nice of you to say that.
I had so much fun writing this.

My youngest Son when he was 8yrs old gave me Blakes masterpiece 'The Fly' I can still hear the joy in his voice as he recited it to me.

I had never heard of 'William Blake' it was in this moment my imagination was unveiled...

Hiya Ghaz my old friend. I love your comments it is such a joy to have some lively banter with like- minded souls.
Please feel free to add your two pence worth any time the fancy takes you.

I enjoy your frankness, so always… never be backward in coming forward.

I try to refrain from making negative comments on other poet’s styles or topics, or spelling or grammar… My whole take on life is “It is WHAT we say, more than how we say/write it”

My grammar and spelling may let me down somewhat, however I refuse now to let it stop me saying my piece.

If I make any glaring errors (As I have several times, my 'friends here at WOL (you know who you are) pm me, for which I promise I will always be forever grateful.

Jump right in

Thanks for being you!

This is such fun! I love the intertextuality. Much better celebration of good things British than... pretty much any attempt to celebrate Britishness.

As images flash through your mind, ...... Most of the time it so happens, memories crystal clear always

A nook or cranny there to find........ Every bit of it alive n kicking

When settled you can then peruse
and incorporate them within the muse...... U can't wait that long.....things have to go hand in hand

I loved it so much......shared my perspective too....hope u don't mind it dear Po.
