Grenfell Tower

Something stinks about this sacrificial affair

This burning stench still will not disappear

It is not just the tower, incinerated that day

Hundreds paying homage to Ramadan prayed

Many Muslims died in that pyre of a fire

Some told exact numbers, best not to enquire

On their holiest month, as Muslims gathered

The worlds media lied and continually blathered

Sifting through the carcass, dark and skeletal

I became ever more and more sceptical

In rooms piled with ash an innumerable remains

I dare not disclose in my deepest quatrain

Grenfell Tower as a monument will endure

Within the demolished shape of that burned out quadrature

Seared in to the memory of those who were there

Allaah hears each and every prayer

Welcome again Ghaz thank you for your thoughts and commenting.

Regardless of what country we live in the media is globally carefully and skilfully controlled and managed.

As this was at a time of coming together to praise Allah a great number of rooms had several inhabitant’s twenty plus people, in a few even more…

The truth will win out, here or in the next world.

Becky and Kate it is nice to see you both dropped in and hit the like. Thank you both for reading this.

Still our thoughts and prayers are needed for the victims of this shameless and preventable sorry state of affairs.

A sad scenario happening every where. media hides the truth and shows a totally different picture. the tables shall turn and media itself will bear the brunt of their wickedness. as its happening in my part of the world, media is not able to speak in support of themselves even, it is what they slowly paved their way into.

may Allah grant peace and jannah to the departed souls of Grenfell tower incident...ameen

I received a long awaited email today that uplifted my heart and soul. At least now that microscope can literally be focused on other issues.

Kate I would also like to thank you.
I have been looking at your poetry and am pleased that you and Taylor and other great poets here tackle the 'bigger' issues of the day, with impunity. We must never be afraid to speak out.

Thank you Taylor for your continued support.

I realise that the topics of some of my poetry can be near the mark
However time does not heal for everybody.

I am re-reminded of some the horrors that we as a country have endured over the last few decades and the personal costs that many have had to pay.

People think this particular travesty has been forgotten about.
It has not!

From my own personal experience I can say we still have it under our microscope.
