in recognition of services to mankind

of my heart, I give grateful pieces

to the land the sky, universe and the seas

placing one at the feet of all mountains

others in branches of every tree

I present yet more to each flower and grass blade

individually to all animals, birds, insects  that roam

to the stars the clouds in the same singular fashion

those beautiful relations of my earthen home.

A share shall I deliver to every river and ocean

and their occupants leaving not any even the tiniest without my praise

but the most precious piece I keep for you love

for blessing with true love and happiness

your hearts gifts that fills all my days

no way am I anything other than grateful to you guys
Trev (? ) Martin, Big Sal, Anya and Taylor ( and Noodles..awww lovely and very apt name according to his spaghettified coat TC ?)

but, I was hoping it didn't come over as being a bit 'valentines card'ish'

perhaps I come back to it at a later date with my polishing cloth and give a better shine to the last three lines?

shines.. wooh! I'm a poet and didn't know it! ?

Like an elegy for a cremation or a celebration of life itself. Each line could be an analogy in its own right, and they all add up to something special.

Well done once again Rose. Leave some likes out there for the rest of us huh?!

And there was me thinking that you were a city girl Rose. You are getting more and more pastoral by the minute. I love it.
